Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 15 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms are the agreement between you and MediGuard Limited, trading as Lazy Meal Planner (a company registered in England and Wales, company number 14120982, registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ), for the use of the Lazy Meal Planner app. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
You can reach us at contact@lazymealplanner.co.uk.
Please read section 6 and section 7 carefully. They cover what the app is not, and what you need to do about allergies.
2. What the app does
Lazy Meal Planner plans meals for your household and produces a shopping list of the ingredients. It suggests meals from a catalogue, it lets you change any of them, and it adds up the ingredients across the week.
It is available on Android through Google Play. There is no version for iPhone.
We may change what the app does over time. If we remove something significant that you are paying for, we will tell you.
3. Your account
You need an account to use the app. You must give an accurate name and email address, and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old to create one.
If you add other people to your household, you are confirming that you are entitled to give us their details. Please see our Privacy Policy for what happens to that information.
Tell us at contact@lazymealplanner.co.uk if you think someone else has got into your account.
4. Subscriptions and the free trial
Some of the app is free and stays free. Generating a basic week of meals, browsing and searching the catalogue, adding meals to your plan yourself, swapping a meal for one you pick or for a suggestion the app makes without AI, importing a recipe from a web address, your cookbooks, your favourites and the shopping list do not require a subscription.
A subscription adds the features where the AI does the work: changing and tailoring your week with AI, planning further ahead than the free week, the chat assistant, meal suggestions based on what you describe, ingredient substitutions, searching in plain English, and the recipe tools that import a recipe from pasted text or generate a new meal from a description. It also covers tidying up what the app remembers about you.
Prices
- £6.99 per month, or
- £39.99 per year.
Prices include VAT where it applies. Google Play will show you the price in your own currency before you confirm.
The free trial
New subscribers are usually offered a 14-day free trial. Google Play decides who is eligible. The trial is run by Google Play, not by us. It begins when you subscribe, and Google requires a payment method before it will start. You are not charged during the 14 days.
If you cancel before the trial ends you pay nothing. If you do not cancel, the subscription starts automatically at the end of the trial and you are charged.
Google decides who is eligible for a trial. If you have had one before on the same Google account, you may not get another.
5. Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds
All payment is handled by Google Play. We never see your card details, your billing address or your bank details.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it. Google will charge the payment method on your Google account.
To cancel, go to Subscriptions in Google Play. Cancelling stops future payments. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
Refunds are handled by Google under Google Play’s terms, not by us. If you want a refund, request it through Google Play. We cannot issue one directly. If Google declines and you think that is wrong, write to us at contact@lazymealplanner.co.uk and we will look at it.
If we change the price, Google will notify you and ask you to agree before charging the new amount.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
6. What Lazy Meal Planner is not
The app does not give medical, dietary or nutritional advice. It plans meals and lists ingredients. That is all it does.
If it calculates calorie or macronutrient targets for you, those figures come from a standard published formula applied to the numbers you entered. They are a general planning aid. They are not a recommendation from a doctor, a dietitian or a nutritionist, and they take no account of your medical history.
If you have a health condition, are pregnant, are taking medication, or are making a significant change to what you eat, speak to a doctor or a registered dietitian. Do not rely on this app instead.
Recipe information, including ingredient lists, cooking times and nutritional values, is provided in good faith but we cannot guarantee it is complete or accurate. Some meals in the catalogue do not yet have nutritional information at all.
7. Allergies and things you cannot eat — please read this
The app lets you record ingredients that you or someone in your household must avoid, and it uses those lists to filter what it suggests. It also flags common allergens where the recipe data allows.
This filtering is a convenience, not a safety check. We cannot and do not guarantee that a suggested meal is free of any particular ingredient or allergen.
There are several reasons for this. Recipe data may be incomplete. An ingredient may contain an allergen that is not named in the recipe, such as a sauce or a stock. Brands vary in what they put in a product. Products change. And we have no way of knowing what happens in your kitchen.
If you or anyone you cook for has a food allergy, an intolerance or a medical dietary requirement, you must check the ingredients and the packaging yourself, every time. Do not rely on the app to keep anyone safe.
8. Recipes you import
You can import a recipe into your own collection from a web address, or by pasting text.
Imported recipes are private to your account. They are never shown to other users and never added to the public catalogue.
You are responsible for what you import. Recipes are often protected by copyright, and you must have the right to make a copy for your own use. Do not import anything you are not entitled to, and do not use the import feature to copy someone else’s work at scale.
We may remove imported content if we are told it infringes someone’s rights.
9. Using the app properly
Please do not:
- Try to break into, overload, or interfere with the app or our servers.
- Use automated tools to extract the catalogue or make bulk requests.
- Attempt to get round the subscription, the fair-use limits, or the free trial.
- Use the AI features to generate anything unlawful, abusive, or harmful, or to try to make the AI behave outside its purpose.
- Share your account with people outside your household, or resell access to it.
- Upload or enter anything unlawful, or anything about another person that you have no right to share.
The AI features carry fair-use limits so that heavy automated use cannot run up costs or degrade the service for others. Ordinary use will not come close to them.
10. Availability
We want the app to work all the time, but we cannot promise it will. It may be unavailable for maintenance, because of a fault, or because something we depend on has gone down.
The AI features depend on a third-party service. If that service is unavailable, those features will not work until it comes back. The parts of the app that do not need AI will usually keep working.
We do not offer a service level guarantee.
11. Content and ownership
The app, its design, its catalogue of meals and its written content belong to us or to the people we licence them from. You may use them within the app for your own household. You may not copy, redistribute or resell them.
What you put into the app stays yours: your household details, your preferences, your plans and the recipes you import. You give us permission to store and process that content so that we can run the service for you. We do not claim ownership of it, and we do not use it to sell you anything or pass it to advertisers.
Meals generated by the AI are produced from your inputs and our catalogue. We make no claim that any generated recipe is original or that it can be used commercially.
12. Ending this agreement
You can stop at any time. Delete your account in the app’s settings. Cancel any subscription separately in Google Play, because deleting your account does not cancel it.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we are legally required to, or if we stop running the service altogether. Except where the breach is serious enough to require immediate action, we will contact you first and give you a chance to put it right.
If we close the service down, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your information.
13. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
We do not limit or exclude our liability in any way where the law does not allow it. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for any of your statutory rights as a consumer that cannot be excluded.
Because the app is a planning tool and not a safety system, we are not responsible for the consequences of relying on it in place of checking things yourself — in particular, checking ingredients and packaging where an allergy or medical requirement is involved. Section 7 explains why.
Subject to the paragraph above about liability we cannot exclude, our total liability to you for anything connected with the app is limited to £100 or the total amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, whichever is greater.
You are a consumer using this app for personal and household purposes. If you use it for business, we are not liable for lost profits, lost business or business interruption.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you do not accept a change, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account.
15. Complaints and the law that applies
If something has gone wrong, write to contact@lazymealplanner.co.uk first. We would rather fix it than argue about it.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You and we can both bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
You may also be able to use an online dispute resolution service. Details are available from Citizens Advice.
