Delete your account

Last updated: 16 October 2026

This page explains how to delete your account in Lazy Meal Planner, the Android meal-planning app made by MediGuard Limited, trading as Lazy Meal Planner, and what happens to your information when you do.

In the app

  1. Open Lazy Meal Planner and go to the More tab.
  2. Tap your name at the top of the screen to open Account.
  3. Scroll down to Delete account and tap the Delete account button.
  4. Enter your password and type DELETE to confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.

By email, without the app

You don’t need to reinstall the app. Email contact@lazymealplanner.co.uk from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. Writing from that address lets us check the request is yours. We will delete your account and confirm by email within one month.

Your subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, and neither does uninstalling the app. Cancel it first in Google Play, under Subscriptions.

What we delete

Everything, straight away: your profile, your health details and targets, your preferences, your household members, your plans and shopping lists, your ratings, the notes the app has learned about you, your cookbooks, your imported recipes, your photos, your meal slots, your login sessions and our records of your subscription. This is a real deletion, not a hidden flag.

The copy the app keeps on your phone is deleted when you delete your account or log out, and when you uninstall the app.

What we keep, and for how long

  • Backups, for up to 30 days. We back up our database every night. Your information stays in the backups made before you deleted your account until they roll off, which takes up to 30 days.
  • RevenueCat’s subscription record, briefly. If you ever subscribed, RevenueCat, the service that manages subscriptions for us, holds a record of your subscription with your account identifier and details of your purchases, not your name or email address. When you delete your account we ask RevenueCat to stop your subscription renewing and to delete that record. If the request fails, we follow it up by hand.
  • A record of deletions we carry out for you, for 2 years. If we delete your account after you email us, our internal audit log keeps a record that we did so. It identifies the account only by an internal reference number, not your name or email address. Deleting your account in the app does not create one.
  • Unmatched subscription events, for up to 12 months. We may hold records of subscription events from Google Play that we were unable to match to any account. These contain no name or email address.
  • Error records, for up to 90 days. If something went wrong on our server while you were signed in, our record of that error may carry your account identifier, but nothing else about you.
  • Anything the law requires us to keep, for only as long as it requires.

Google keeps its own records of payments you made through Google Play, under Google’s privacy policy.

Our Privacy Policy has the full detail. If you have a question, write to contact@lazymealplanner.co.uk.
